About
Maggie Acosta is the Assistant Director of the Great Lakes Center for Farmworker Health and Wellbeing. She also leads the Outreach Core for the Center and is dedicated to building worker power and promoting epistemic justice. Maggie is trained in medical anthropology and has a decade of experience working in community-based public health efforts. She has collaborated with public health departments, nonprofits, and grassroots movements to do research, community capacity building, and advocacy. Maggie is fluent in Spanish and is a second-generation immigrant.
