About

Dr. Bonney is a faculty member in Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences at the UIC School of Public Health. She teaches in the Occupational Safety and Industrial Hygiene programs and is a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH). Her research focuses on characterizing employment quality and security, as well as the health and safety conditions that workers experience on the job. She has particular expertise in survey methodology and analyses of survey data, and she has worked closely with a variety of community-based, worker-focused groups to design and conduct surveys to better understand the experiences of workers, especially those who are unemployed, underemployed, or employed in low-wage and insecure work arrangements. Dr. Bonney led the Measuring Farmworker Health and Well-being Survey project from 2022 to 2023 and continues to be an investigator with the Center.
