Vinay Espinosa-Ravi is a 2nd-year graduate student at UIC’s School of Public Health in Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences. Before entering the program, he spent two decades as an organizer with Unite Here Local 1, a labor union representing 15,000 hospitality workers in the Chicagoland area. He currently works at the Great Lakes Center for Farmworker Health & Wellbeing as a research assistant.
