Dr. Salah Issa is a UIUC faculty member specialized in Agricultural Engineering. He works collaboratively with Dr. Rudophi, Dr. Forst, and others in a NIOSH Education and Research Center. Dr. Issa is not only a content expert in agricultural safety and health, but has experience with developing data visualization dashboards. In the Great Lakes Center for Farmworker Heath and Wellbeing, he is involved in the Agricultural Safety and Health Surveillance Program. For this project, he will create a dashboard of work-related illness and injury cases detected, allowing for focus on geographic areas and also farm-operation types. This will provide actionable information to farmers, government agencies, service organizations and others, whereby they can target their activities.
