Dr. Tim Johnson’s career has primarily focused on health-related survey research methodology, measurement, and analysis. He directed the Survey Research Laboratory at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) for 23 years before retiring in July 2019. Dr. Johnson also co-chaired the most recent national Conference on Health Survey Research Methods (2012), served on NIH study sections since 2007, and is active in national and international professional associations, including recent service as President of the American Association for Public Opinion Research (2017-18). In the Great Lakes Center for Farmworker Health and Wellbeing, he is involved in the Measuring Farmworker Health & Wellbeing research project.
